I've used both premier, and vegas. I never got much into them, though. What would be your favorite?

I have never got into video editing. Jen does some so hopefully she will let us know what she uses..
I use Adobe Premiere as mentioned in the other thread. It's the best of both worlds, it's got high end capabilities but simple features.

I'm going to start playing with it again. Thanks for your opinion, JenC.

The only video editing software I play with is Easy AVI/mpeg splitter & joiner and VirtualDub. Rudimentary, I know.

vegas was way to difficult when i tried to use it lol. I'm sure you can achieve great effects if you were to master it though.

I just started to use Sony Vegas last year. I didn't have any difficulty learning the basics at all, of course I have been using Sony Acid Pro for music production for years and the layout is very similar.

Final cut PRO (pro is key) is great for Mac, but Premier is great for Mac and PC...
but the real question would be why aren't you editing on a Mac?

TMPGEnc 4.0 Express - simple enough after a while, but delivers the goods :action-smiley-052:
